The locals know that more late night food variety is long overdue.
After 10:00 pm when all restaurants close Chef Dave De Jour hits the road with his mobile bar hopping restaurant serving gourmet food to North San Diego County’s beach communities.

“The Shredded Beef Cubano Slider is my favorite” Vanessa says with her mouth full as she samples Chef Dave’s combo plate consisting of Grilled Tofu, BBQ Spareribs, Shredded Beef Cubano Slider and the Green Mango Salad that comes with every dish.

While Eric says “the Chicken Skewers with that Green Sauce is my favorite.” Chef Dave’s formal name for the “Green Sauce” is The Green Jacket Chimichurri Sauce, which Maria likes to call it the Cha Cha Cha sauce because Chimichurri seems to be a difficult name to remember.
Chef Dave started Dave De Jour Street Food this 4th of July and can be found at Encinitas and Cardiff’s local bars.
Solana Beach will soon be included on his locations, but for now you can find him Wednesday – Sunday 10:30 p.m. to 3:00 a.m. at either: The Leucadian Bar, The Shanty or The Office. Hours and locations do change so feel to track him on twitter: http://twitter.com/davedejour

First Customer
Chef Dave launched his “Dave de Jour Street Food” truck on the 4th of July weekend in North San Diego County- great response from all customers – peopled are just “wowed” and blown away by his food — locals say “this is just what we need”. Needless to say, Dave de Jour is a hit. Some of the first customers- a few English gents, a guy fresh off the plane from Tasmania (he really looked like the Tasmanian devil)- and a body guard (Mini Me’s bodyguard), were just besides themselves. Dave’s Mac n Cheese on a stick, Angus Beef Sliders and BBQ Ribs w/ Chef Dave’s BBQ Sauce were a few of the favs.
Thanks to my friends who came out to support Dave and start the first “Dave de Jour” Street team- thanks for your enthusiasm and helping to “rally” the customers. I am most appreciative and very thankful for you guys.

Opening Nite
For my friends and family in Texas- included, what can I say, other than, wish you were here-and ..you are missing out
But wanted to include you in the good news. You can always come out and taste for yourself.
The pics were taken with my iPhone, so quality is not the best.
xoxo
